If you want a stylist who lacks communication skills and relationship-building abilities, continue booking with Leslie. Leslie is an experienced styl...ist. She has weekend availability, which is convenient due to my busy schedule, and her rates are reasonable. Before I met Leslie, I had a go-to hairstylist that I followed wherever that stylist moved. When that stylist was unavailable at my only available time and date, I would book with Leslie. Leslie is aware of it, and vice versa. There seems to be no issue. Within a year, I had four appointments with her, the latest being early this month. The previous three appointments were not an issue, and I let her know whenever I got compliments. We communicated extensively via social media before I booked this most recent appointment. When I finally booked an appointment, there was a lot of back and forth from her about which service I wanted to add and if I could come in earlier than my appointment. I booked specifically for full highlights for the time that I can commit to without someone waiting for me, and if time permits, I can add a haircut and highlights. So why ask me if I can come in early? If I could come earlier, I would book an earlier time. Looking back on our messages, the way she asked and communicate just confuses me as to what is it really that she wants to communicate. On my last appointment, she did not have time to blow dry my hair, which was fine with me because I was not going anywhere after that appointment, so I went home with wet hair. Now, I am not sure anymore if she truly did not have the time or that could be her messing with me. The issue with Leslie is her lack of communication skills and her lack of desire to establish a connection with her clientele. I do most of the talking because it's awkward to be just quiet in her private space when there's only one other perskn. I do not have issues with her pricing; I just ask for transparency. No one wants to be surprised. Leslie is aware I might need treatment soon as this was discussed before I left from my last appointment with jer, so when I cannot book using this platform, I reached out to her again; mind you, she gave me a time and asker if I am available ( see second photo). When I asked if she was using another platform so I could check what schedule she had that would work for me, she gave me a time and asked if that would work for me. As you can see, when I said not, that was the only time she said she blocked me through Booksy and ultimately blocked me from messaging her. She apparently had issue with me after my last appointment which I was not made aware of. Leslie is aware that I am a professional who have a busy lifestyle. If she has properly communicated with me in what that issue was instead of being an immature I would have understand. I would even understand if she and I just does not clique. But its wrong to not let a client know there was an issue and not being open for resolution. Yet still entertain an idea of booking. Then blocking when the time you offered does not work for your cluient. This should let you know what you might be dealing with Leslie in the future if you continue or chose her service. I hope this platform and potential clients would read this and take precaution. Leslie, kindly not edit your response for booksy to know and other potential clients how you communicate. I understand your reason for leaving this review, and I am very sorry for the way that things went between us. The reality is though, this review does not speak to my abilities as a hair stylist. I have worked very hard to always provide my best work for clients, including yourself. Unfortunately, we did not click personally, and again my sincerest apologies for that. I hope that you will determine that is not a reason to leave me such a lengthy negative review when you were admittedly very happy with my work as a hair stylist. I absolutely loved Leslie. I haven’t gotten my hair done professionally in I want to say 10+years because of the fear of too much being cut. I explain...ed my anxiety and she talked thru everything she was doing and even said she rather cut multiple times than to chop off to make her client happy. I had an undercut from a year ago which hasn’t grown much she took time to trim so it will grow. She washed, dried and curled my hair and it came out amazingly. It feels so much healthier and lighter. We even discussed my upcoming wedding and plan our next visit for trials to see what is doable. She gave me some advice on what to think of because it will be an outside wedding. I loved that it was a small studio area so it wasn’t loud or overwhelming. It was the best hair experience I’ve ever had. Plus price was very reasonable and I left more than satisfied. Show more
