Quality of work: 3/5 Good, typical Nigerian braider who rips through hair and pulls too tight, but braids are neat. I didn’t get the look I asked for ...(boho) as there are a handful of braids that don’t even have human hair in them as she wasted all of the human hair in the back and bottom. Genius. I also had to cut and seal the ends myself because even though I asked for bra strap length, she did waist length. Customer Service: 👎🏼 —10/5 HORRIBLE, I’m sure she’ll get on here and argue because that’s what she likes to do. Rude with a bad attitude and waste a lot of time arguing about what she’s not going to do. Also will talk about you on the phone if she THINKS you can’t understand. When it was time to pay she was able to fix her attitude but acted like she was unable to charge the final amount on Booksy, and requested I pay a different way. Wouldn’t tell me the final amount so I quickly tried to remember what I already paid, calculated tip and gave her WAY too much. When I realized I over paid she argued for so long before send back %80 of what I told her I need back and she forced me to tip her raggedy azz Professionalism:👎🏼 -10/5 RIDICULOUS, asked me at 2:45 am if she could move my 11 am appointment to 9 am because she wanted to finish early. I agreed but based on our discussion about how human hair is not included I explained that I would have to go to the store to get hair and they won’t be open before the appointment. She assured me that there is a supply store near her that opens at 9 (which wasn’t true) Luckily I had hair already 🙄 I spent 1.5 hours driving to make it in time and the store didn’t open until 9:30 so in the meantime she asked me to go pick up her braiding assistant ( a 15 year old girl)…I declined because wtf ?!? I’m not an Uber service and I just drove 1.5 hours and I’m a stranger…very unsafe request !! She tried to guilt me saying she always ask her customers and they go get the little girl and take her back. We value all feedback from our clients, but I must address some inaccuracies in your statements. Most of my clients know that I don’t braid tight, my work is neat, I ensure each client love their hair before leaving. You booked an appointment the night before & I promptly asked if you could come in earlier so I could finish your hair before my next client. You agreed to this change. I clarified that while I offer extensions, I don’t supply human hair. When you asked for bora bora braids, I explained that they require more time &cost more. You chose to stick with the original service. You brought a pack of curly hair & I worked with it as best I could. Due to multiple errors on the Booksy app from your end, I collected the remaining balance in cash, which aligns with Booksy policy. After completing your hair, you expressed satisfaction, even tipping $54. However, 3days later, you requested a $91 refund, claiming you had overpaid which you didn't , you just wanted to get some money from me & you were mad that I asked you to send screenshot of the transaction in order to clarify . Despite how rude you were, I returned the (tip). You blocked me & left a negative review. yes i am Nigerian & proud but i will never speak ill of my clients . Regarding my assistant, she is a 16-year-old learning the trade, which is entirely legal and beneficial for her development. Thank you for choosing MacsBraiding. First off she was 35 minutes LATE! my appointment was at 7:30 AM. she got there at 8:05. we started at 8:10. I SPECIFICALLY made my appointment that e...arly because I had another appointment to get to at 12:00. ANYWAYS. when I had to leave for my other appointment I asked her how much longer until we were done. GUESS WHAT??! SHE SAID 30 minutes!!! So if she was on time (also she works out of her home!!) then we would have finished. So I drive to my other appointment and drive ALL THE WAY BACK to finish my hair. the extra time i spent driving was a total of 3 hours. because this shordy wanna be late to the appointment!! SHE DID NOT ASK IF I WANTED A DISCOUNT OR ANYTHING. ON TOP OF THAT, the last braid she was rushing to get done before i had to leave. FELL OUT THE DAY AFTER. THEN I CALLED HER COMPLAINING. then she said oh your hairs too short thats why the braid fell out. IF MY HAIR WAS TOO SHORT THEN MULTIPLE BRAIDS WOULD HAVE FELL OUT. AND IT WAS LITERALLY THE LAST ONE SHE DID! THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE IVE HAD HONESTLY IN MY LIFE. She was late. Did not care at all. Did not say sorry about anything. Insanely unprofessional and this was just sad. I am also in the beauty industry and if this happened to a client of mine. they would get a free service. Responding to your response to mine: MY APPOINTMENT WAS 45 minutes away from you. AND THE APPOINTMENT I WENT TO ITSELF TAKES A TOTAL OF 2 HOURS. THEN I HIT TRAFFIC AND IT TOOK ME AN HOUR AND 20 minutes to get back to you. AND IF YOU WERE ON TIME AT 7:30 I WOULDNT HAVE HAD TO EVEN COME BACK. And why in the hell would i want to come back to you. I dont want you to fix it. I would rather a refund because i wasted my ENTIRE DAY ACCOMMODATING YOUR LATENESS TO THE APPOINTMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE. YOU ARE INSANELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND I was very disappointed. Like how are you late to an appointment and you work out of your home? AND I WOULDVE BEEN ABLE TO COME THE DAY BEFORE IF YOU HAD ANSWERED THE PHONE.
