I recently moved to Penn Valley and I needed a haircut, so I Googled local barber shops in the area. I saw this place, Family Fades Barber Shop, and i...t was within walking distance, so I thought, SCORE!!! I was going to make an appointment on-line for the following morning, but I decided to wait. Well, the next morning, I was making my on-line appointment, early in the morning and the morning appointments were already full! So I booked my haircut for the mid afternoon :-) I was thinking, this place must be popular! Well, I walked over to Family Faces and realized it was upstairs, 2nd floor, in the building next to the restaurant called the Tack Room. I was greeted by a lady and said that I must be there to see Cameron. Cameron came out to greet me and instructed me to sit in his barber chair. The chair was soooo comfortable! He asked me how I wanted my haircut and he proceeded to go to town on my hair. He seemed to pay attention to detail on how he cut my hair as we talked about the Penn Valley community and sports. He enjoys supporting the community and cutting hair, especially kid's hair. It was nice that he has enough time in between appointments to ensure his customers are satisfied with their haircut. After he was done, I looked in the mirror and was VERY SATISIFIED with the job that Cameron did with my haircut! You definitely get what you pay for with Family Fades Barbershop. I am extremely satisfied and I am so glad I found a new place to get my haircuts :-) Show more
