Mens & Boys haircut w/ blade edge up.

I took my son in for a haircut with Tom because our regular barber is out of town for the next 3 weeks. Tom, this supposed professional, left my son’s... haircut unfinished! Tom had cut my son’s hair for about 4 years, but I stopped taking him because of the way he talked to my son the last time we went there prior to our visit today. It was a last minute haircut and Tom was the only one with availability, so I just booked with him, hoping Tom was having a better day than our last visit. During his cut today, he kept telling my son to stop moving and stop bouncing his legs. Mind you, Tom knows my son already from the years he had cut my son’s hair before and knows my sons situation. Finally, I hear Tom tell my son he can get off the chair, so I assume they’re done and I walk over to pay. Tom goes to the back to get change and while we’re waiting, I notice that he didn’t finish the haircut. When Tom comes back to give me my change, I ask him to finish the cut as I had asked for it to be done and he says no because he was spending too much time asking my son to sit still. I just shook my head and walked out. Tom kept watching his TV while cutting my son’s hair, but I guess that was ok during our appointment time. Tom still paid himself for the unfinished cut and only returned my change. When talking to my son and telling him that that he needs to try and sit still during his cut, my son tells me that Tom was hurting his neck when adjusting his head during the cut. 😡 Luckily, I was able to find a walk in place where they were able to finish Tom’s unfinished work without any issues. The current barber never has issues with my son, but again he doesn’t use the tone Tom uses. While writing this review, I received a message from Tom that we could talk about the situation or just leave it as it is since I had texted him about the situation when I left. So I called him, but he still didn’t see anything wrong in what he did. He basically said we just have different ways of “parenting”. The only problem with that, which everyone sees except him, is that he is not my son’s parent. Show more
