Men’s Haircut

I started going to Kenny at the beginning of 2025. I am typically the type of person to just get a $15-$25 haircut at some of the mom & pop shops arou...nd the city and in the East Bay. Those cheap cuts typically get the job done, but I wanted to try something different to start the new year. I first walked into Haight Street Barbershop and lucked out where Kenny had just finished with a client. Kenny asked me to sit down and if I wanted anything to drink - a nice welcome. I let Kenny know that I was going to trust him and let him decide how to cut my hair. Kenny provided some thoughts and I was on board. It was about a 45-50 minute cut, no cutting corners. Throughout the cut, Kenny sparks up conversation and doesn’t make it awkward. Towards the end of the cut, Kenny brings out a warm towel and wraps it around your face to mitigate razor burns - a nice touch. At the end of it, I was very content with the seamlessness of the fade and the overall styling of my hair. I had no issue paying out the $70 + tip. A couple other things to note: - The shop is very welcoming. A bunch of young barbers willing to attend anyone that comes through their shop doors. - The ambience in the shop is pretty nice too. They got some electronic dust bins where they sweep hair into which is pretty sick. Two large screen TVs where they got YouTube or Apple Music playing, wide range of music. I also thought it was cool how when a barber comes into the shop to start the day they dap everyone up, including all the clients. - Being in the Haight-Ashbury area is a plus since they got a pizza shop right next door and a bunch of nice bars to hop around after getting a nice cut. - Recommend walking in first, waiting a bit if you have to and have Kenny start you out. After that, do the appointment system to ensure you always have a secured time. I’ve had three more cuts with Kenny since then and plan on doing many more in the future. I always receive compliments on my cuts from family, friends, and coworkers… a testament to the quality of work Kenny puts out. Kenny do it. Show more
