It is extremely rare these days to find a barber that possesses a good business acumen, treats his vocation as a ministry, and provides good customer ...service. Mr. Rashad "Croke" Howard fits this criteria and more. In years past, I have traveled extensively throughout the 757, trying to find a barber that would cut my grey hair with a style that I would feel comfortable wearing. This man is a Godsent. No frills. When I sat in Mr. "Croke's" chair, I felt at ease, as if I was in charge of everything. He's an excellent listener while simultaneously allowing me autonomy. Before and during the cut, he explains thoroughly what he's doing. Are the blades too sharp? Are you okay with this and that? What about this? His transparency is exceptional. Several of my past barbers were very mundane. All they did was call my number, ask me to take a seat, what cut I wanted off of an antiquated barber chart that's been on the wall before President Obama was in office. Sorry for being lengthy. However, when you find a person who cares about his vocation like Mr. Howard, it bears repeating that, "Iron sharpens Iron." We're on Earth to edify one another in deed and service. My bald fade with a 1.5 blade, with a smooth bald head at the base of my neck, was cut with precision. In fact, after receiving a barber lesson about the texture of my grey hair, I jokingly keep bringing up the word: canatise. This newfound knowledge affords me knowledge and skills needed to research ways on how I can manage and treat my grey hair. Man, I was blown away with the facial towel treatment. This is a huge must. I almost fell asleep in this man's chair. The compounded stress I deal with on a daily basis just seems to dissipate. As men, we do not take the time to treat ourselves, our temples of the Holy Spirit, with care. When you are perusing the 757, don't walk or run, but drive to Richmond, VA to see your boi, Croke. He'll have you looking like a million bucks, and your family will thank you! Your exceptional barbering service is above reproach. As a mom of a 3rd grader, it's nice to take him to a clean, kid friendly, and positive barber. I have always worried about taking him to barbershops a...s they can be too much for young men.
