Heads up long review, but for those who are looking to do a big change or find an amazing barber who can do more than fades, its worth reading. 5 year...s ago i decided to grow out the hair on top of my head to donate it. Last week was my first time in John’s chair. Super nervous and wondering if I should’ve went to a salon first and then a barbershop. Also I had no concerns about hair maintenance since I used to do maintenance on 2’6” of hair. I just wanted my face to look less round/oval and some hair that i could style and not get ruined if i do or dont wear a hat. I showed him the reference pics and we spent a lot of time talking about the good and bad of the reference photos, past cuts, etc. John took his time mapping out the haircut and gave me the versatile haircut i wanted. He explained that i need thicker sides before i can have all that length like in the second reference pic. He is very attentive to detail, listens well, and will give you advice about what suits you and what doesn’t. The shop is really dope and has a lot of vintage decor with fire music. Show more
