At the end of each cut, we pass a layer of warm lather on the neck and around the ears, followed by a hot towel. Then another pass of warm lather and a straight razor shave around the ears and neck. A menthol aftershave cream is massaged into the skin, followed by a splash of Bay Rum, and an old-fashioned dusting of talcum powder. A clean up of the eyebrows and ears is provided if necessary or requested. A true, traditional, Gentleman's service. (Tip not included, but certainly appreciated.)     • Shave

      At Gents, we’re proud of our straight razor, hot towel shaves. Once reclined, a pre-shave essential oil will be massaged into your beard, providing a slick surface for the blade, as well as moisturizing the skin and beard. A hot towel is wrapped around the face, letting steam and heat relax the skin and hair, while pushing the oils into the skin. A moisturizing pre-shave cream is then massaged into the beard area, followed by another hot towel, after which moisturizing shave cream and warm lather are applied. At this point, the straight razor is passed over the beard area in precise, yet gentle motions, all to ensure a close shave. (A second pass will be provided if requested.) When the shave is complete, another hot towel, misted with Osage Rub, is wrapped around the face in order to close the facial pores. A menthol aftershave balm is massaged into the skin, a splash of Bay Rum, and a dusting of talcum powder finishes the service. Every man owes himself at least one straight razor, hot towel shave in his lifetime. (Tip not included but certainly appreciated.) If you have questions about this service, please call.
