I’ll keep this factual and free of emotion. I had an appointment with the owner. He said he was falling behind and asked me to see someone else. Now t...hat puts you in an awkward position, you can’t really say no when that happens, you don’t want to make the other barber feel bad, at least I don’t. For perspective I had spent a lot of time researching barbers in downtown Tampa and finally found someone I thought would work, and just like that all of the time spent researching was gone to waste. I had an appointment from a week ago, I would have liked it to be honored, it wasn’t. So the other barber did a decent job on the hair. But the beard is where she really screwed up. I had this terrible rash on my face the next day, evident that she had pressed down too hard with the straight razor. That turned into a bruise and a scar in subsequent days. She didn’t use after shave. The bottom of my neck wasn’t evening shaved. I have pictures for all of these claims. She charged me for a full package whereas she delivered only 1.5 of 3 services. I still tipped 30% because I wanted to be nice, that was a mistake I now regret. I messaged the owner the next day, he did the right thing and apologized and offered a free service the next time. I thanked him and said I wasn’t interested in a free service as I want to forge a long term relationship and this isn’t the foundation I wanted to build. So I tried to book one of the services listed on their website through Booksy, the platform they use, but it wouldn’t show up. I messaged the owner again, asking how I could book such a service, and he said he would take care of it for me, accommodate my schedule and he would do his best to make it happen. So I provided times and never heard back. It’s been well over a week. I did everything I could not to write this review, gave them every chance, but they continued to let me down.
