I’ve been going to Tee for 6+ years for my silk presses but I recently started my loc journey with her and I am in love with my hair all over again! I...’m so happy with the results and glad I made the choice. Tee has seen my hair in all different stages but this stage is my favorite. Aside from hair styling, she is a good hearted, genuine person that cares about her clients and the services that she gives them. The salon is always clean and well kept. The worst experience of my hair journey. I try to give this stylist a chance and leave quietly, but it’s always going to escalate even when you want t...he peace. My experience with the shop is atrocious. This woman contact me approximately two weeks … Probably more than that, since she was supposed to give me back my refund for services that was not rendered and we talked about this. I tried communicating. The communication was terrible and I wasn’t being understood. It’s as if she wanted to keep the money and still try to provide services after I stated that I will need to do my business elsewhere. She literally contacted me today 4/12/24 after she was supposed to give me back my refund long ago, I had to dispute this issue with my bank because it was that bad. This stylist told me that she will fight for that dispute after she understood is a refund owed to me. This is what you will be setting up for, please be careful booking this business. There’s other things that happen during my experience and from the looks of the other clients the bad experience is not far from the tree. A great business owner would refund money that services were not rendered for and keep it moving. Her response to nonsense is what blows my mind! You already told me you’re going to be refunding me the money and now when you found out that you took too long to refund the money and that I had to dispute it with my bank, you now want to fight for the money that you were supposed to refund me in the first place! Make it make sense. The reason for my refund is because I had to make an exit due to the experiences I was experiencing at the hand of the stylist. I also only refunded money that were for services that were not rendered to me!!! at this time, I’m so frustrated, I don’t know if I should speak my native language for them to understand or what. They think that you’re the issue, when you’re showing them their BUSSINESS issues. Show more

You then said you didn’t want to come back which put me in a hard place. I tried working with you to avoid attacks on my business and yet and still here we are. The client here with "bad energy" that came into this establishment. Booked a consultation for 4:30p-5p and stylist called me at 4:45pm very nonchalan...t. Proceeded with appointment for 2/11 at 3p. Saturday prior I got a rescheduled notification for 5pm and I immediately texted the stylist and cancelled since that wasn't going to work. Stylist calls and says it was a mistake by assistant, okay cool. Appointment day I came early (granted as I told the stylist I was indeed tired as ever and I kept quiet) but upon arrival stylist is doing hair STILL which leaves me to wonder was my appointment still truly at 3pm. Anyways long story short if you watched her live on social media it'll tell you all. She asked me to leave since my energy was off and it wasn't even 3:15p yet as she stated I guess that's how her scheduling goes and I didn't have any rights on wondering when my appointment was going to start. Great hands that do amazing hair however lack of communication and unprofessional. Yes, hairstyles run into time, however, simply give a heads up or say something. Someone can't be showing up for 3 o'clock appointment and you just now blow drying and starting twisting when you're one stylist, make it make sense. I'm assuming this is central Florida ethics. I am basing my experience solely on the interaction with the stylist as she was unable to do my hair at the scheduled appointment time. I spoke with t...he stylist one week before my appointment to express my interest in booking and ask a question. Albeit she has a text only number and only replied via voice recordings, it was prompt. After our conversation, I confirmed I booked. I arrived to the salon to find she was maybe 25% in to a protective twisting style. It seemed she had no awareness of my appointment given the line of questioning. She asked me about a consultation that she confirmed I did not need when we initially spoke. She also asked me what style I was looking for. She offered me to wait 2 hours or so to be done with her current client or come back, which is unreasonable and quite frankly unacceptable. I had never experienced such a situation with any stylist. I was traveling the next day and rescheduling would not work for me. The whole purpose of the appointment booked was to work for the both of us. If the appointment is available on your site, it’s safe to assume you are available, and if I book that time, it’s safe to assume that works best for my day. There are very few frustrations that exceed not being able to get your hair done a day before a trip. Might I mention my appointment was at 5:30, so I had no options to go to anyone else. It honestly seemed like because I would’ve been a new client, my service did not matter. I would’ve even appreciated her letting me know in advance that she was backed up and could not get to me as opposed to saying nothing, but again, it really seemed as if she was unaware of the 5:30 appointment. Very disappointing interaction and experience with this salon and stylist. I did let her know all of the above after I the salon because I didn’t feel it was necessary to continue conversation when it was clear that the appointment was not happening. Maybe better experience for the next person! Edit following her passive aggressive response: it’s clear there is a lack of accountability. If it was mistake as now mentioned, then accept the area of improvement but instead you turn it around on me. Indeed things happen, and that is where you acknowledge that a mistake happen on your end, instead of blaming it on my schedule. I see other reviews of having a very similar experience. Regardless if I had a flight or not, the appointment was booked and I still *shouldn’t* have to come back. I was not in a crunch for time. I booked what worked and I had the time at 5:30 on the agreed date. One thing you are right about, if you have policies, stand on them and aim to not inconvenience others. You also could’ve let me know in advance that you weren’t able to take the appointment, but it’s about me allowing grace? As you mentioned you are running a business, which includes enforcing policies and also monitoring your books. Not sure where a boundary was violated. Respectfully, no opportunity was missed. There are many talented natural stylist in orlando & that is ok that it did not work with you. This review is not about an accomplishment, it’s a review! It’s feedback based on my actual experience. Natural Updo Trim

I had an appointment recently,I had booked a natural updo and even sent a picture of what i wanted after she asked me to do so and she said it's okay,... There was no availability of a braided updo so i settled on the natural updo that included a wash and condition. She asked if i wanted any additional services and i asked for a depp conditioning and a trim. The directions on the website are wrong to begin with. I had informed the stylist I would be 10 minutes late but ended up being late by 20 more minutes because the directions on the websites led me elsewhere and i had to ask for directions from her. Finally i got to the salon, she was quick to let me in and i did appreciate her for agreeing to do my hair so i thought. Everything went well untill she was done washing, conditioning and trimming my hair. She told me she was done doing my hair and that she had another client coming and didn't want my appointment to interfere with the next client's appointment. I was like what!! I got so pissed because it was my second time for her to do that. The first time i visited her i had booked a style and consultation. I aked her questions about the style and she confirmed about doing my hair that day..when i got there she just did the consultation and said she is not doing my hair on the same day as the consultation. Well that was no where in her so called policies and she didn't mention any of that in her messages. When i went to check the messages she had unsent everything. So i just left. It is wrong for the stylist to do that to a client twice and not be sorry and claim it's the policies. This latest visit she charged me for services i could just have done at home anyway. I do not think my hair was as good as when i do it myself either and that pissed me even more. She didn't wanna hear anything i said, i remember her saying that my texture needs to be 'heat trained' and it needs braids to look good. I even asked her to do a quick flattwisted updo with my hair and she still refused, put it in a ponytail and charged me 123$ for that. Clearly i am never going to her and would not recommend her to anyone especially if you have very kinky hair. She needs to work on how she communicates with her clients because it's not worth it to go to a salon and leave without the hair getting done as booked, makes no sense...i would actually give zero star if they gave that option Show more
