my hair itself turned out fine. but we barely washed my hair. when i got back home i noticed i still had dandruff. it took around two hours for my hai...r to be blow dried. he kept complaining about how this was only his second silk press and how “long” my hair was. once he finally finished blow drying my hair. (with help) and started the flat ironing process. he kept commenting on the length of my hair and saying how he hope his next client doesn’t have as much hair as me. that made me very uncomfortable. someone else started helping him flat ironing my hair and i honestly wished she just did the whole service. he kept insinuating he couldn’t do it his self and even sat down. all in all. i would go back but i wouldn’t let him touch my hair. especially if he isn’t confident enough to do all different types of hair textures. Carneshia (massage therapist) was OUTSTANDING! Very professional and personable! So sweet, thorough, and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. My only... complaint is the male Instructor came out of his office during my massage, with lights on and I was naked. I didn’t agree to that! TT, did my pedicure. I know she is new to the school and is learning, but she seemed awkwardly uncomfortable. I opted to not get toe polish because she seemed “nervous”. Show more

We apologize if you felt a moment of discomfort, however as a Massage Therapy Instructor he is required to check on the student’s progress throughout the service. It is also the student’s responsibility to maintain coverage over the client throughout the service. As she should have notified him that you were leaving the table to get dressed or undressed behind the privacy screens and into a robe. Our instructor is a veteran with the utmost respect for women as well as his profession and would never intentionally make anyone uncomfortable. He has been with us over a year and has supervised several students providing services and we have NEVER had an issue. We will, however be sure to bring this review to both his and the student's attention. The student who performed your nail service should have been completely comfortable with the polish portion as she has provided this service before. However, she is a student and at times they are temperamental. Once again, our apologies and thanks for patronizing TTC.

I would like to thank Paula and Italia for doing a wonderful retwist on my locs. These two ladies are on the right path and really sweet. This was my ...first visit and I must say you two have earned my trust. They each communicated with me through their steps and even provided a brief consultation. I have had professionals to retwist my hair but ladies do it better!! Thank you Italia and Paula. I have one recommendation however, that is to place a sign on entry doors to let first time customers know where to come in. Otherwise, the students were wonderful and very pleasant. Show more

The student who performed the services was great! She was very kind, professional, and patient with doing my hair. I think her name was Destiny. Unfor...tunately, my positive experience with students was overshadowed by Charita's infantilzing demeanor when openly reprimanding the students in front of clients. I understand the need for the students to respect policies and procedures and remain professional in the educational and clinical setting. Still, the instructor didn't have to embarrass the young ladies in front of clients about phones. While there, I did not see anyone on their phones, and for her to go on a power trip was entirely uncalled for. She could have addressed the situation more professionally. If she expects students to behave professionally and respect policies, her leadership should reflect professional behavior expectations. Again, the young lady who performed services was fantastic! Your perspective is misguided; she's dedicated to educating students about rules and professionally handled the situation. Your assessment was based on a limited view of events, overlooking prior incidents. We're obligated to address rule violations consistently. Every area of our school is a learning environment, and our instructors have the authority to manage issues as they arise. Her method was not only delivered correctly but as you saw, it was received by all students, which is why you didn't see them using their phones. If you choose not to return based on this incident, that's your decision, but we will not change our educational approach based on one review. Thanks again for your review.

My service, the atmosphere, and the staff were great. I really enjoy my services but I only had one problem. My gel polished start to chip and left th...e next day. I would suggest letting the polish dry longer and thoroughly. Also the instructors should check to see if the student is following proper procedures when doing services. Overall though, I enjoyed everything, and i will be back. Show more
