I came in looking like a hot mess. Split ends every where! I found Famous Dominican Hair Salon on Google and read the reviews. That is how i decided t...o come here. Thank goodness I did. Sonya did my hair. She is phenomenal! She washed my hair so good i almost fell asleep. She was very detailed with my hair and showed me so much care and attention. She is also very talented. I will definitely be back. Thank you Famous Dominican Hair Salon for such a great experience and an amazing haircut and blowout! Show more

Partial highlights Rolls and set

I booked for a partial blonde highlight and a roller set because I wanted the volume. The actual foiling time was quick. But than I sat in the shampoo... bowl for 90 mins while they did more bleaching and toning. It was pretty uncomfortable but I thought maybe this is normal at a Dominican salon (my first time). They asked me multiple times if they can just blow dry it as roller sets take 45 mins. I said I really wanted a roller set because I *thought* it would give volume & curls. They ended up taking the rollers out when my hair was still wet so it just went flat. At this time I noticed my highlights were uneven & starting 2 inches from my scalp. Also, a lot darker than when I came in. I did tip because I know they tried. The salon is-clean and everyone was very friendly. * after posting this review, the owner did personally reach out and offer to redo for free. I respect that. Show more
