Changed from 2 stars to 1 star for the disappointing reply especially after tipping and leaving honest positive feedback and recommending him; very di...fferent energy than in-person. It’s troubling he seems to respond to every non-5-star review defensively. Not very receptive to feedback. (Edit: he edited his reply on 10/30/24). (replying to barber): Sorry, brother, I’m just being honest about my experience as a customer. It’s not personal at all (and definitely not hate towards barbers in general lol), and it’s ok if not everyone gives perfect feedback. I also think we can agree it’s a bit of a reach to say I had an attitude. I was quite friendly and relaxed during the cut, and even left a tip, positive feedback, and recommendation in my review. And nope, I got 2 lines the first haircut (1 hard part+1 line), not one (so I already knew it was going to be more, but not 3x more). Original review: 1st haircut was $5 extra for a design (1 hard part and 1 shaved-in line), which is reasonable. But 2nd time turned into $15 extra (37.5% increase from $40 base price) extra just to get 1 more line (because now it’s “3 different designs”) without a heads up before the cut started. He’s skilled and friendly, but this didn’t feel too great 😕, especially since my design was pretty simple (3 lines) while his portfolio has other designs with way more lines, slashes, curves, and complexity. I’m confused why the 1st haircut wasn’t $10 extra when I had just 2 lines, and wonder if he charged $5 for every line, curve, and slash in his other fancy designs. Sucks bc I was pretty set on him as my new go-to barber. I like his vibe, love his passion and detail, and thought we hit it off pretty well. Still tipped him out of respect for the time and effort, and maybe it’s just miscommunication or a misunderstanding, but still didn’t feel very fair. If loose pricing about designs isn’t a concern I’d still recommend him. The cut itself was still good. Show more

I understand but I did tell you it was gonna be more & you said okay. You also came with a bad attitude & I don't know if you even listen. The first time you only asked for one little line and this second time it was 3 which the more designs you get the more expensive it gets. My recommendation is go ahead and look for a barber that will charge cheaper and that will charge what you want. Good luck.

EDIT: [Reply to JC's comment below] 1) You're not the "3rd barber" I've been to there. You are the 2nd. The first one cut the whole back of my hair ...off on my first visit, so I tried you next. I didn't give him a bad review either, because he at least tried to make it right. He blocked me because he was embarrassed, and I was still nice about it even though it was upsetting. 2) If you messed something up with my haircut and actually care about the quality of your work, you should want to know what was wrong. I didn't even ask you to fix it! I simply let you know about it on my way out, and then you tried to blame it on me for not saying something sooner (it had only been 3 minutes since I got up). I shouldn't even have to call out something that obvious. You have eyes too. The proof is right there in the picture. Anyone can see it's uneven asf. 4) I already said I'm not going back to you. You lied once about blocking me (I'm guessing because I pointed out a minor issue with my last cut) then lied AGAIN today when I showed you how uneven my beard was. You can't refuse service to someone who already wouldn't hire you again. Why would you even think I'd want to go back to you? Look at how you left my beard! 5) Enjoy the nice tip I left you even after how you tried to embarrass me in front of your other client as I was leaving. Very professional of you. ***** Original comment: My beard was lower on one side than the other. Once I noticed it in the bathroom, I showed him on my way out just so he could know for next time. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to gaslight me by denying it was uneven (it was VERY obviously uneven - see the photo). Then he blamed ME for "not telling him while I was still in the chair" (only 2-3 minutes had passed since I got out of the chair). I won't be back to this barber. Show more

I'm the 3rd barber from my shop that had gave you a haircut and blocked you. The reason is that I asked you multiple times throughout the haircut if everything was good, and you said yes. Once I start working on my next client you would come and complain and this isn't the first time and I'm not the first barber you've done this to. It's best if you find another barber because I won't be cutting you anymore due to the disrespect you've given me and don't value my time.

I rarely leave reviews unless I absolutely love it, and I must say this young man has impressed me beyond expectations! He’s communicative — whether i...t’s via text about the appointment or in person about the cut. He’s professional — his station is clean and organized, his mannerism is mature, great attention to detail, love his pace, and you can tell he takes great pride in his work. This experience has been way above other barbers I’ve been to. I truly hope he continues to keep it up and keep growing because at this rate he has a very bright future ahead of him.
