We had to go 6 times. We followed all instructions. We did the cleaning and the follow up within a week and every single time there where nits but not... lice? We had everyone in our house checked, his friends he plays with, and even his grandmother who cares for him. She was the only one with it (from him) but was cleared and yet he still had nits no lice. They made so much money off of our family and we spent weeks with them only saying "he's getting reinfected" -- how? He's not touching heads with anyone else and we know all the info about lice. Yet we were constantly lectured and asked to buy their essential oils. The kid is covered in rosemary and tea tree oil -- of course we are doing everything we can. And that is not even proven to support. We ended up buying our own comb and cutting his hair -- which was extremely sad and traumatic for him. He had been growing it out almost a year. Three times our appointments were rescheduled due to them not having enough people to cover. After another check and them saying he was clear, I brought him home and immediately found a nit with my own combing. I recommend learning to do it yourself, buy a good nit comb, watch some YouTube videos and save a lot of money, time, and tears. Show more

We had a great experience here. Obviously not where anyone wants to be with their family but all the staff were super friendly, helpful and reassuring.... They took great care of us, checking everyone and treating our daughter. They answered all our questions and made us feel better about the situation we were in. They fit me in for a lice check super fast, and were able to help give me assurance that my head was clear even though my daughter had gotten lice. Th...ey gave me a ton of advice for dealing with her treatment, and if we find any more lice or nits on her hair, I'm coming back to these ladies for treatment - they know what they're doing and have the setup to manage treatments quickly and effectively. We appreciate the service - such a relief to have this service available. That said most of the practitioners put family worked with were excellent! T...he Lice Lady herself though was not very friendly or helpful at any of our appointments, and during one treatment, seemed to be quite rough and harsh in doing a comb through. If one is in need of lice removal, this service is invaluable. That said, the overall customer relations could be executed in a friendlier and more helpful manner. Show more

If you want peace of mind to get this done and over with and don't mind spending some money to do it, I would highly recommend The Lice Lady. It's not... that expensive if you have a single victim but we had 3 which does add up. We were so grateful that they fit us in the day we had a check, which they found lice in 3 out of 4 of us, but we got really lucky that another family didn't need their removal so they had time. Don't expect that to be the case, they are extremely busy so book the service you need for all family members. This was the first time we had lice so we had a lot to learn. If there is a next time around I do think I could probably deal with my kids on my own but I would not be able to do myself and we would definitely go there again. PS. The owner (like me!) is not from Minnesota so she is more direct than some people here might be used to! I for one appreciate it but I think it's good for Minnesotans to know that to understand. MN Lice Lady offers a necessary service, taking the stress and uncertainty of treating live off the parents. I was fortunate to have head checks that... resulted in finding no lice as we had been incorrectly diagnosed by a stylist. The staff at MN Lice Lady showed me pictures and textured examples of exactly what nits look and feel like on and off hair. I wish they would give seminars in schools and salons! It’s pricey but very much worth the money for peace of mind. We really miss the convenience of the Edina location. Show more
