I loved how the front of my hair looked but once I got home and looked at the back I was applauded. My hair was so unevenly cut, they didn’t part the ...same size in the back compared to the front so it looks like I’m missing braids in the back. The hair quality is that of doll baby and so my ends if the braids don’t seal. Show more

This is my second time coming to Given’s and I always feel they exceed my expectations. I like the fact that there is always someone working on my hea...d and I’m in and out fast. I came in for small Fulani braids at 10am and was finished by 1:15. The prices are fair and reasonable. Show more

Very clean salon with great customer service. I overall love my hairstyle however, I’ve only had my hair done for two weeks and my real hair is alread...y coming out of my braids in the back and two pieces of human hair has already came out of my braids. The person that did the front of my hair did great and the braids still look very neat. However, the person that did the back did not do a great job. Those look loose and messy and that is where my real hair is coming out of my braids. This was a very expensive style and I’m not happy about how the back braids look Show more

I should have turned around in the beginning. Got there . I made an appointment so I can get my hair done at that time. When I came in they didn’t eve...n know who I was or what I wanted . Someone went back and forth from the front desk talking to me to the women in the braiding area to see if anyone could do my hair . The prices on their website aren’t accurate at all. Tried to charge me $280 for cornrows . Then when I said no asked me how much money I have . Never have I ever heard of such a thing. Agreed on $200. Even though I was only getting cornrows! Sat down , over one hour later nobody started my hair . So I left. Never again. Show more

My appointment was at 9:15 with Meta, I requested it with her due to the positive reviews. Instead of Meta, my hair was done by a lady name Judith and... a girl who did not speak English. I stated at i desk, I wanted my hair full, since my hair is thin. That I would pay extras. When I sat in The chair reiterate it again and again and again. The lady Judith was a fast braider and had braided up the entire back of my head in less than 3 hours, then she left. The lady braiding up my hair om left side was extremely slow. I could see that it looked thin, and requested to pay extra for another bundled. The other lady said It would be extra and I should have asked earlier. Despite I asked about 6 times. After sitting in the chair 5 hours, and the girl had not finished my right side. When I complained Then a young lady named Dorcas did the left side of my hair. The slow girl put the curly hair more towards the bottom. I tipped $50 in advance and $25 to Dorcas. If I would have known I would be there 7 hours, the girl who didn't speak English would have gotten NOTHING. Dorcss and Judith were fast . The side Dorcas did is full, other side thin. I will not return since I have a small head and been in a salon 7 hours, my hair not being full and request to purchase more hair ignored. Show more

Got extra small knotless waste length knotless. I really like it. Appt was at 1p. Finished @ 12:30a. But there are some braids that are noticeable big...ger than the others. I normally do not allow 2 people to work on my hair for this reason. But I knew it was going to take a while due to the size. So I just took the chance but never again. I will go back, I just have to find the right person to service me like I like and stick to that person. I am very particular about my hair especially when you have to pay $300 plus. I feel like some of that time could have been cut down if they stayed on a professional level. Too much chatting, and on the phone texting and calling really got next to me. There nothing wrong with talking but if you have to take your hand off the braid because you do a lot of your communication with your hand then that a problems. Also if someone makes an appointment, confirm it and you know what they are getting, why not prep the hair ahead of time. That waste a lot of time. Always remember your clients are 1st. Without clients the business we not be successful!!!! Show more
