The appointment was via text which I didn’t find out until after I showed up to the office. Then I was told I had to fill out a release form and send ...it to my providers, which should be the Therapists job. There was no FaceTime or Zoom, just texting, which I thought was super unprofessional considering the fact that I needed to discuss some concerns about my medication and maybe switch medications. I definitely would not recommend this provider. Show more

Dr. Karen is truly wonderful with her patients. I was referred to Blue Sky Psychiatry years ago by a friend from work, whose son was a patient of Dr. ...Karen. My friend was very happy with the progress her son had made under Dr. Karen’s care, and my friend HIGHLY RECOMMENDED her. So I scheduled my initial intake appointment and didn’t chicken out and went to my appointment. Dr Karen was very friendly and pleasant and is truly cool, calm and collected. I noticed my anxiety level decreasing progressively as we talked; she was easy to talk with and I was able to warm up to her quickly. Dr Karen was the first Dr I had ever been to that truly listened to my thoughts and concerns and was the first medical professional that actually cared about my physical and mental well-being. That was different-and GOOD different. Before meeting Dr Karen I had encountered a handful of medical unprofessionals that lacked ANY bedside manner or were counting how many minutes were left in my appointment just like I was. Not with Dr. Karen. Dr. Karen is very warm and welcoming and it was easy to get comfortable with her and put my faith and trust in her and be able to open up and honestly speak about my problems, issues and concerns so I could address them and make changes in how I address, handle and deal with them. I’m very pleased with my personal progress I have made in my work and my personal life and I am able to keep better balance of all the different things going on in my life. I am glad my friend HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Karen Beatty at Blue Sky Psychiatry.
