Half feed-in/half Knotless

TLDR - I won’t be returning. Finding a braider is like dating. I found Kritten online, the reviews were solid and the work looked good. I saw that s...he had a next day appointment and I immediately booked. She text me that evening to request a picture and answered my questions. Her communication made me very excited to have her do my hair. My excitement did not last long. First, I was aware that she worked inside the mall but I was not aware that she has small non-private space in a shop with other beauty services. The “House of Beauty” is more like a rundown den of mid-level cosmetology services. Literally at one point one person who works in the “salon” was coughing without covering her mouth. Also, Kritten sneezed and used hand sanitizer instead of washing her hands…again the ambiance not the best. I was late due to car troubles, which I communicated to her and she elected to only charge me half of the late fee. Taking ownership of my issue and acknowledging her policy, it’s not a big deal and I understood. She was rough with my hair, which was washed and deranged but of course proofed up because it’s hot outside and I sweat in my scalp. Then her braids were entirely too small and I told her she could make them bigger but they were still the size of my pinky finger. Further the quality of the work was not good. She did her best but this tribal style is too advanced for her skillset. Lastly the ends of the braids look worse than if Edward Scissorhands did them. I’ve gone to many braiders in different cities and Kritten was not it. If you book with her please be very specific about the length, parts, ends, thickness, and so forth. She needs clear guidance. Kyl was professional. She was probably the first stylist to apologize for running behind. The wait was barely 15 mins however she ensured I knew that ...she knew that my time was valuable! Kyl was fast, efficient, and did a phenomenal job. She is definitely worth the money and I’m in love with my hair. She was gentle with my scalp, the b...raids were even and consistent, and she was attentive to make a beautiful set of braids. I also like that she provided the braiding hair that I needed. The only downside is that finding the venue inside of the mall at 7am was a challenging task and I wished I had pictured instructions or a video on how to enter the mall prior to it officially opening. Because I would not be able to locate it on my own. This resulted in an unfortunate late fee but the experience was well worth it. I highly recommend her. Show more
