This experience ended horribly!! I usually never leave reviews good or bad. But I had to be totally honest about my service. It started off amazing. I... happened to be late because I had to pick the braiding hair it’s not included in any service. I paid $1000 and also added a $20 tip. I was quoted this price for XS box braids butt length over my locs. I laughed and watched movies throughout the service. We begin at 10:30 am and ended at 7:00am. Which is a ridiculous for having two braiders. I started helping braid the front because we were never going to finish in time for my 8am dentist appointment. They did not completely braid down each braid. Some were shoulder length, mid back and lower back. Not one braid was braided all the down to butt length which I paid for. My head hurt so bad because TY constantly pulled while braiding each braid. My scalp was sore and braids were extremely heavy. So heavy that I had a headache. They added too much braiding hair and it look almost like a wig on my head. I never paid $1000 for braids and to have a horrible experience was sad. She left an extreme about of loose ends to make it seem like it was butt length . When the service was finally completed after so many hours of braiding she dipped the loose ends in extremely hot water which fried the ends causing them to look matted and tangled. I stop her after dipping two section and said I will have my daughter help me finish at home. I did not want to risk allowing her to continue ruin the braids. I called her 2 hrs after my appointment was completed to share my experience and let her know I hated my hair. She was rude and basically tried to make it out to be my fault. The customer service was horrible after paying $1000. She told me that was most she ever made for braids. This is the most I ever spent on box braids. You would think she would correct the mistake for a high value customer. She didn’t care that my birthday photoshoot was the next day. After paying $1020 because I would never do that to a person I had to go home to completely braid down my braids and curl the ends to savage the style. I will never ever recommend this business. You will never get $1 from me TY. I will share pictures and text messages. I spoke in the phone with TY the morning after. She didn’t have time to fix it the same day. She told she could fix it the next day which was my birthday and the day of my photoshoot. She told me to send pictures when I got home. After sending pictures she kept blaming the situation on my locs size but my main concerns were the length and the raggedy ends. That has nothing to do with the size of my locs. It’s not the locs!! You didn’t braid my hair to butt length. It’s doesn’t matter about the time when someone pays $1000. I sent the pictures and you can see her response below. Unprofessional. After I text her and received ok as a response I called her. She never answered or called back. I waited a few days. Then I left the review. Never ever again!! Still haven’t received an apology and she’s still blaming me. Show more

We had a long phone conversation about your experience. You leaving a LONG review is crazy. You had unrealistic expectations . You wanted micro braids over locs that were all different sizes , tiny , medium and doubled . The hair added has to match the amount of hair over the locs . I offered solutions to your concerns and you declined . I’m sorry you are still upset about this situation. Your first experience with me was immaculate, you said so yourself which is why you returned, which is when your hair wasn't loc'd. I worked 20 hours on your hair all day morning 10am to sun up the next day 7:30am. Neither one of us knew the experience was going to be what it was. Hopefully your next experience with whichever stylist you chose will fulfill your expectations .
