At first glance, Bay State Barbershop is this little corner shop off a Main Street in Norwood. Street parking only but merely a few minutes from home.... Online booking makes it easy and they have many barbers on. I told my wife a good cut for me takes 45 minutes minimum and I had been looking for a barbershop that was on par with my old barber for a bit now. This place raises the bar. I walk in to 7 chairs filled with customers, the place is well lit, great decor, and friendly staff out of the gate. The owner greets you the second you walk in. I couldn’t tell if people were only there for a cut or hanging out, everyone seemed to know each other, like they were family. Great vibes all around! I still can’t get over the fact that 7 barbers are cutting at once and they are great on timing. My appointment was for 10:30 and at 10:30 I think every chair rotated customers. They work efficiently and everyone seemed to love their job and be having fun! I met Junior, I booked him because he was second on the list, but he was great! Shakes my hand, asks me what I’m getting, goes to work. He is quick, precise, and finished my cut at 45 minutes to the minute. He paid great attention to detail with my beard, made some cutting decisions that were new to me but I loved the new style afterward, and I came home and my wife immediately noticed the changes to the style and says “I think you found your new barbershop.” If you’re looking for a place that is affordable, a true barbershop, on time and friendly, this is it! I recommend Junior because he was my first experience but I feel like you could not go wrong with any barber there. I promised the owner on my way out I would write a review. Bay State Barbershop deserved my time so they can get the recognition they deserve and bring in more business! I hope they grow! Thank you! Show more
