So before the service I was deciding between this stylist and another one so I reached out to see if I could make a deal with her because i had a feel...ing she'd do a good job. So we made a deal that she would take down my hair from 7:30-4:30 She show up late, she brought her kids that took her attention away from her job, she took multiple breaks, walked away and did not take down my locs properly. She said it was build up, but I don't know much about loc take downs, but i assume build up is to be expected, and you should know how to deal with it. She did give me a discount, she went against the deal that we made before I made the appointment and then she stopped my service early to talk about payment and that we had already discussed before the service and left me scrambling and anxious trying to figure out what to do because she's talking about me needed 3x the amount we agreed on. It's frustrating because i was being charged by the hour, she stopped multiple times, left me sitting in her chair to do whatever, she was on her phone a few times and then I'm supposed to be greatful for a discount when you improperly took down my dreads, came in late and ended the service almost an hour earlier then the time we agreed on Show more

Thanks again for booking, yea i agreed to discount my service $200 for you After 6-8 on your hair I gentle combed your locs out they were very frail and you had a lot of thinning you said it happened from a previous style I didn’t do anything to damage your hair. Your locs were also matted together and i gave you a detox at no charge. Once we got to the 8 hour mark yes l discussed with the client i would still discount the service but it would probably take another 6 hours too complete her hair and I wasn’t comfortable doing it for free. I also said I could do a payment arrangement to help her out. As far as my 2 kids being there it was no distraction I only stopped to order them food which I’m allowed to do. My kids aren’t normally there but if they do come it’s no problem. I was very flexible and gentle with her hair, I also discounted the service $200 because her boyfriend wouldn’t pay and that’s who she was counting on.i stood on my feet 6 plus hours and only took a bathroom break. You also took about three breaks i guess to check your hair and you made no complaints about the results .i took pictures of the hair matted together for evidence normally loc clients maintain their hair and its not matted together she didnt diclose to me that her hair was damaged Yes I use my phone to respond to clients. I run this business alone. I didnt stop the service early I stopped the service at the time she was able to afford. We discussed beforehand that this was an hourly service

My children’s appointment was at 9am I was at the shop until 10am with no communication and stylist didn’t show I left and stylist contacted me and as...ked if I could bring the kids back at 2pm I agreed bring them back at 2pm again stylist never showed or communicated another stylist at the shop ended up servicing my kids and stylist text many hours later apologizing and saying she had personal issues going on I understand things happen but communication is key and you don’t leave clients hanging like that thank god someone else was able to service my kids so I will continue to go to that new stylist as I’m traveling from Fridley and my time is important as well. ALL MY OTHER REVIEWS ARE 5 STARS This is partly false, I communicated with the client and like she stated she agreed to come back at 2pm. I had an emergency where I was debilitated and I explained that with an apology and agreed to do her kids hair for free because of the inconvenience. At 2pm no I didn’t service her but another stylist did. I've done her kids hair before and I’ve never had this issue with anyone before only professional experiences. I apologized, and offered my services for free. I do not wish to service anyone who doesn't leave a positive review when you do well especially working with kids who don't sit well but quick to leave a negative review when it was an emergency. I showed grace doing her kids hair when it took 2x the time it would any other child and should have up-charged but grace wasn’t reciprocated. I don’t need that type of energy . Be blessed

I felt welcomed when I entered the shop. It was great to see our people doing our hair. I felt very proud! The service was very good, and so was the a...tmosphere, staff, and customers. I love the fact that my stylists listed to my request to do and not do what was asked of her. I love my hair, and even though I changed my mind on the style, and she didn't hear me, it worked out great! We'll change it the next time.
